Class_of_1964State Basketball Champions are Watson Chapel's Team.Posted by TerryWilliamson51 at 16:26, on Monday, March 17, 2008
I'll bet that like my wife and me, you have been sitting at the TV watching all the conference basketball playoffs to see who will get into the NCAA Tournament. I know we are getting old when I received a cutout from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that was sent to me from Sam Wamble, South Side Class of 64. Sam lives in Pine Bluff Arkansas. Sam's daughter, Caitlyn Wamble was shown embracing a team member after that team member had just made a game-winning layup with 2.2 seconds left in the game in Hot Springs Arkansas, making Watson Chapel the winner over West Memphis for the Arkansas State Championship. I know that you and I (and especially Sam Wamble) are getting old when I look at things like this. Enjoy it Sam--She will be 50 year old in what will seem like two weeks. Congratulations to Caitlyn---Tell her she now knows what Scrappers felt like in the 'OLD TIMES'.

I am glad to tell you that we had over 51 years together and she now has perfect eyesight and she doesn't hurt anymore. One of her biggest wishes was that she would not have to live alone so I'm happy for that.
