I received an email from Ed Hensley, husband of Ina McBride Hensley, class of 51.
Ed informs me that Reg Broadway, husband of Nina Shelton Broadway, class of 52, fell yesterday from the attic to the garage concrete floor and had brain surgery this morning at one a.m. to remove blood clots. Reg suffered three broken ribs, one of which pierced a lung so that it had to be enfiladed. Reg's condition is grave. Please---keep Reg and Nina in your thoughts and prayers.

SCRAPPERS VERSUS HURRICANE IVAN
Have you wondered as you watched the progress of Hurricane Ivan if you had any friends in the hardest hit areas?
I looked in my Scrapper Directory and was surprised and shocked at the large numbers of former Scrappers who now
live in that area. I started in the Mobile and Pensacola area and places on the gulf coast that were hit and worked
northward towards Montgomery and Birmingham. There are lots of places that have been hit and others that will be hit
that I do not have listed. It would seem to me that these areas should have been the hardest hit. I do not know if any of these classmates had damage. It they are close friends yours, perhaps you should call them after things settle down and check with them. I did not list the addresses because it would have taken too much room. If you do not have an address for any of these people and would like to have their address, contact me and I’ll try to provide the information to you.

Lewis Dalton brought to my attention that there was a problem with the email feature in the "Alumni Register". Email was being sent OK, but when someone responded to the email it never arrived at it's intended destination. The problem has been fixed. All email links in the Register now function as they did in the old "Email a Scrapper" pages. Give it a try!
